Kim Wright is our Director of Academics, she has over 25 years of experience working in the education field including 8 years with Elk Mountain Academy. Kim is a gifted teacher. She has taught in Alaska, doing everything from teaching multi-level classrooms, administrative assistant, special education aide, and home-schooling her own children. She has been married for over 30 happy years. She and her husband, Chuck have raised four children that are all out on their own now. One of their two adopted children had some serious struggles during her adolescence, so they sent her to a boarding school for almost two years. That experience enables them to understand the agony each parent feels when he or she has to send a child off to get help. She is dedicated to making each student feel loved and get the help they need. Kim enjoys swimming, sailing, canoeing, hiking, working on projects around the house and spending time with friends and family, especially her four grand kids. 

Vicky Downing is one of our teachers, she graduated from University of Idaho with a Bachelors of Science and Secondary Education certification.  Continued study led to history and math endorsements.  Vicki's 20 years of experience working with at-risk students has taught her many lessons.  Respect the student, listen, then encourage, encourage, encourage!  Region one safe and drug free school leadership award 2002 Sun Valley, Idaho, Idaho Drug free advisor 1998 - 2003, The Downing's have raised three children on the farm and now enjoy their eight grandchildren.
